Terms & Conditions

At D&G’s Photography, we pride ourselves on delivering a professional service with clear expectations for both our clients and our team. These Terms & Conditions are designed to protect both parties and ensure smooth, fair handling of all bookings. By booking with us, you agree to the following:

A non-refundable deposit of 50% of the total package price is required to secure your wedding date. Dates cannot be reserved without proof of payment. The deposit ensures that D&G’s Photography commits the agreed team and resources exclusively to your booking. Because wedding dates are in high demand, deposits are strictly non-refundable under any circumstances, including cancellation, postponement, or change of mind.


The remaining balance of your package must be paid in full no later than 7 days before your wedding date. If payment is not received by this deadline, D&G’s Photography reserves the right to cancel the booking, and the deposit will be forfeited. No services will be rendered unless full payment has been received.


If the client chooses to cancel the booking, the deposit will be forfeited in full. Cancellations within 30 days of the wedding date will require payment of the full package amount, as D&G’s Photography may not be able to rebook the date on short notice. Cancellations must be made in writing and acknowledged by us.


In cases where a wedding is postponed, the deposit may be transferred to the new date provided that D&G’s Photography is available. Rescheduling is limited to one transfer only, and the new date must be within 12 months of the original booking. If we are unavailable for the rescheduled date, the deposit will be forfeited.


If your package includes a complimentary engagement shoot, it is offered as an added value service and is subject to our availability. This session is not guaranteed, has no cash value and cannot be exchanged or transferred.

The complimentary engagement shoot is only available within a 45 km radius from Pretoria East. Locations outside this radius are not included as part of the complimentary offer and may be declined or quoted separately at our discretion.

All complimentary engagement shoots are weather-dependent. We do not shoot in rain, drizzle or unsuitable weather conditions. On the day of the session, D&G’s Photography will assess the conditions and confirm approximately one hour before the scheduled time whether the session will proceed. If the weather is not suitable, the session will be rescheduled, subject to our availability. Once a location has been confirmed, there is no alternative location change on the day due to weather.

Clients must arrive on time, as delays will shorten the session. Failure to attend without notice will result in forfeiture of the complimentary shoot. If no suitable date can be arranged before your wedding, the shoot is forfeited.

The standard delivery lead time for engagement sessions is 4–6 weeks, and no sneak peeks or early previews are guaranteed. This lead time applies even if the images are needed for “save the dates”.

Images are edited in D&G’s Photography’s signature style. No RAW files are provided, and no re-edits or stylistic changes will be made once the final gallery has been delivered.


D&G’s Photography will not be held responsible for failure to provide services due to circumstances beyond our control, including but not limited to illness, accidents, bad weather, venue restrictions, or natural disasters. In such cases, every reasonable effort will be made to provide an alternative photographer/videographer or reschedule services. Refunds are not guaranteed but will be considered at our discretion.


Final edited images and/or highlight videos will be delivered via a secure online gallery link. Lead times are as follows:

  • Photography-only bookings: 6-8 weeks.
  • Videography-only bookings:6-8 weeks.
  • Photography & Videography combo packages: 8-10 weeks.

Delivery timelines may vary slightly depending on peak season demand, but every effort will be made to meet the stated deadlines.


Refunds are not offered once final images or videos have been delivered. Photography and videography are subjective art forms, and while D&G’s Photography ensures the highest standard of editing and presentation, creative decisions remain at the discretion of the company. Clients are encouraged to communicate specific preferences during the pre-wedding consultation to avoid dissatisfaction.


All images and videos remain the sole copyright of D&G’s Photography. Clients are granted a personal-use license, which includes printing, sharing on social media, and personal archiving. Clients may not resell, edit, alter, or use the content for commercial purposes without written permission. D&G’s Photography reserves the right to use images and videos for portfolio, marketing, and promotional purposes unless otherwise agreed in writing.


We expect all clients, guests, and vendors to treat our photographers and videographers with respect. Abusive, threatening, or inappropriate behaviour will not be tolerated and may result in immediate withdrawal of services without refund.


Travel up to 300 km (round trip) from Pretoria is included at no extra charge. For weddings beyond this distance, additional travel costs will apply and will be quoted separately. For weddings further than 300 km, overnight accommodation may be required and will be billed to the client.


In the unlikely event that one of our photographers or videographers is unable to attend due to illness or emergencies, D&G’s Photography reserves the right to appoint a contracted replacement. All contracted replacements work under our brand, with our equipment, and all editing is handled exclusively by D&G’s Photography to maintain consistent style and quality.


All communication regarding bookings, changes, or special requests must be made in writing via email or WhatsApp. By paying the deposit, the client acknowledges that they have read, understood, and agreed to these Terms & Conditions.


All bookings with D&G’s Photography are for the services of the company as a whole, not for any specific individual photographer. D&G’s Photography retains full discretion to assign any of its qualified photographers to the client’s wedding. The client acknowledges and agrees that they are not entitled to select, approve, or reject specific photographers, and that the assigned photographer(s) may be any member of the D&G’s Photography team. All photographers operate under the same style, standards, and quality requirements, and all editing and delivery are handled in-house to ensure consistency. The assignment of any particular photographer does not constitute a change in the agreed services and is not grounds for cancellation, refund, or any claim against D&G’s Photography.
If the client specifically requests a certain photographer, this must be arranged in advance and is subject to availability.


All full-day coverage is provided according to the timeline agreed during the pre-wedding consultation. Coverage begins and ends based on this schedule. Any additional hours outside of the confirmed timeline may incur extra charges and must be discussed and approved in writing before the wedding day.


All packages include a pre-wedding consultation, which forms the basis of your wedding day timeline and coverage plan. During this consultation, the couple is required to provide accurate details regarding the schedule, venue restrictions, and any special requests. The agreed timeline will guide the full-day coverage provided by D&G’s Photography. Any changes to the timeline after the consultation must be communicated in writing at least 14 days before the wedding.


All packages are based on full-day coverage. However, if a client prefers limited-hour coverage, this must be requested in advance and will be quoted separately as a custom package. Custom hourly coverage must be agreed upon in writing before the wedding date. Once full-day coverage has been booked, clients cannot request partial refunds for unused time.


For weddings requiring coverage longer than six hours, clients agree to provide meals for the photography and videography team during the reception. These breaks will not affect the overall coverage, and every effort will be made to ensure that no key moments are missed.


By booking D&G’s Photography, the client acknowledges and accepts the company’s creative style and approach to photography and videography. While requests are welcomed during the consultation, final artistic decisions regarding shot selection, editing, and highlight video content are at the sole discretion of D&G’s Photography.


D&G’s Photography does not provide RAW files, unedited images, or every image captured during a wedding or engagement session. All delivered photographs are carefully selected based on technical quality, composition, expression and artistic merit. Images that are duplicates, out of focus, unflattering, test shots, or captured during transitions are excluded from the final gallery.

The curation and selection of images is a core part of our creative process and is determined solely by D&G’s Photography. Clients may not request access to all photographs taken, nor request that excluded images be delivered or edited.

All delivered images undergo our full editing process in our signature style, and no re-editing or stylistic adjustments will be made after delivery.


We do our best to respond to all WhatsApp messages and inquiries as promptly as possible. However, due to our busy shooting schedule, editing commitments, and ongoing client bookings, we may not always be able to reply within the same day.

We kindly ask for your patience and understanding. If your message is time-sensitive, urgent, or requires immediate confirmation, we strongly encourage you to give us a call. This ensures that nothing important is missed and that we can assist you as efficiently as possible.

Clients may not hold delays in WhatsApp responses against us, as this is not an instant communication guarantee. We aim for great service, but real-time replies are not always possible during high-volume periods.


Clients must provide all requested information (venues, addresses, schedules, shot requests, etc.) at least 14 days before the wedding. Failure to provide this information may affect coverage and final delivery. D&G’s Photography is not responsible for missed coverage resulting from delays, late communication, or incomplete details provided by the client.


Once proof of payment for the deposit has been received, D&G’s Photography will issue a formal confirmation letter. This letter must be signed by both the client and D&G’s Photography and serves as the official agreement securing the client’s wedding date. The signed confirmation letter, together with these Terms & Conditions, forms a binding contract between the client and D&G’s Photography. No booking will be considered confirmed until both the deposit has been paid and the confirmation letter has been signed by both parties.


The client is responsible for ensuring that D&G’s Photography has full access to all venues and locations where coverage is required. This includes obtaining any necessary permits, permissions, or approvals for photography, videography, or drone usage (if booked as an add-on). D&G’s Photography will not be held liable for missed coverage resulting from restricted access, venue rules, officiant limitations, or failure to secure permits. The client agrees to communicate any restrictions during the pre-wedding consultation so that alternative arrangements can be discussed in advance.


At D&G’s Photography, we take pride in tailoring our coverage setup to best suit each wedding’s unique flow, location, and logistics. The number of professionals assigned to your wedding (including photographers, videographers, and assistants) is determined solely by our team’s discretion and experience. We carefully evaluate each event and decide on the most effective team structure to ensure complete and efficient coverage without unnecessary duplication of roles.

For Photography Packages, coverage may consist of:

  • One main photographer; or
  • One photographer and one assistant; or
  • Two photographers, if the scale or schedule of the wedding genuinely requires it.

For Photo & Video Combo Packages, coverage may consist of:

  • One main photographer, one videographer, and one assistant.
    The assistant may serve operationally or as an additional photographer if the day’s circumstances require it.

Assistants and secondary photographers, when present, work under the direction and creative supervision of the lead photographer or videographer. Their role is to enhance workflow and support full-day coverage, not to replace or act independently of the primary creative lead.

Please note that the exact composition of your coverage team is determined by D&G’s Photography, based on professional judgment and availability. While we always ensure full and professional documentation of your day, we reserve the right to adjust the assigned team structure as needed to maintain quality, efficiency, and consistency with our brand standards.
